Taking a break from the nationwide album release tour of his new FLUX LP, Tiki will take the 'Illuminate' party on a journey of his own. Bringing the calm before the storm via the acoustic brilliance that you remember from your radio waves last year, DJ Sambora and MC Tiki then build into the storm itself as they open the floodgates on Illumination at 12:30am.

Demonstrating the expertise that had him nominated for 6 Vodafone NZ Music Award nominations last year alone, it is no wonder that this talented musician also doubles as an audio engineer for some of the country’s finest acts. Tiki has long earnt himself a solid reputation for boosting shows, musical works and recordings worldwide with his unique gift for taking music into an innovative new realm.

Mr Smith and JMC have been smashing clubs up and down the country with their relentless back-to-back sets for close to 3 years now. Mr Smith burst onto the scene in 2006 by double-dropping, juggling and scratching his way to the coveted 'Rumble In The Jungle' title. JMC won the title in 2007, tearing through the competition.

Helping them take things to the next level is the party MC, MC Woody. His quick tongue, crazy antics and Hip Hop style flow make this man a crowd mover.

With Woody at the helm, you can expect no holds barred, high energy mixing as we let these two turntable technicians loose to do battle once again on the massive Illuminate sound system.

One of Wellingtons better known personalities, DJ Kava regularily hosts the Friday Night Flava show on RadioActive 89FM, dropping a bit of everything from Hip Hop to Soul, Funk and anything that gets the body moving. He's a regular fixture at many of Wellingtons hugely successful Bass Frontiers and Fried Chicken Sound System events, and recently attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Brazil in 2002, so you know the party's gonna be bumping when Kava steps up.

Wellington based Drum and Bass DJ Snax has been pushing both extremes of the musical spectrum since the late 90's, dropping relentless sets of the heaviest and darkest drum and bass styles one night, then laying out selections of super-chilled downbeat rhythms the next. He has supported many international dnb acts, such as Black Sun Empire, DJ Friction, Tech Itch, Limewax and Audio as well as local dnb acts like Concord Dawn, The Upbeats, State of Mind and Nanotek. DJ Snax will be opening Illuminate with a selection of choice cuts, ranging from downbeat, grime, dubstep and hip hop to drum and bass and beyond.
